Forest Live concert series to return to Thetford Forest this summer

Forest Live, the events series presented by Forestry England and Live Nation’s Cuffe & Taylor, is returning to forests around the country, including Thetford Forest in Suffolk, in June.

Headlining will be some of the biggest names in music, including Canadian rock icon Bryan Adams on 20 June, Sting on 22 June and Tom Jones on 28 June.

Paloma Faith

Taking centre stage on 27 June is British pop superstar Paloma Faith, who will perform in the pleasant outdoor setting of High Lodge, Thetford Forest.

Paloma is a familiar face for Forest Live. She returns to the event with more performances than any other female artist in its history, with every show so far selling out.

She last joined the bill in 2018, when she performed at four different forests around the country.

Renowned for her pop anthems including Only Love Can Hurt Like This, Upside Down and 2023’s How You Leave A Man, Paloma has released five top 10 albums, embarked on a flourishing acting career, formed altruistic partnerships with the likes of Oxfam and Greenpeace and launched her own interiors brand.

Her sixth studio album The Glorification of Sadness was released earlier this year and features collaborators such as Kojey Radical, Chase & Status and Charlie Puth.

Another top name announced to appear is Olly Murs, who will be headlining on 30 June.

Returning to Forest Live seven years on, 2024 will see Olly play Thetford Forest for the first time since his last sold-out show at the venue in 2017.

Olly Murs first burst onto the scene with his double-platinum self-titled album in 2010, before a near back-to-back run of four number one singles and four number one albums.

The charismatic singer-songwriter and self-made showman has since racked up a string of hits including Troublemaker (featuring Flo Rida), Dance with Me Tonight, Heart Skips a Beat (featuring Rizzle Kicks), Dear Darlin’ and Please Don’t Let Me Go.

Murs has also hosted ITV’s Starstruck and featured as a coach on six consecutive series of The Voice. His most recent album Marry Me was released in 2022.

BRIT Award-winning singer-songwriter Daniel Bedingfield will be supporting Olly at the show.

Rhodri Jones, national events programme manager at Forestry England, said: “Forest Live gives you the experience of seeing world-class acts, who would normally be playing arenas, in some of the most beautiful natural settings we have in the country.

“The experience is one of complete disconnect from the pace and noise of daily life replaced with a connection with incredible music, awe-inspiring nature, and a sea of like-minded concert-goers.

“The purpose of the concerts is to raise money for the protection and preservation of the nation’s forests for generations to come, and to give people an opportunity to start a lifelong relationship with these incredible spaces.

“Forests are the lungs of the nation and will become more and more important as we tackle the climate crisis.

“We want to bring people together to take a shared interest and responsibility for these spaces and to ensure they continue to thrive.”

Forestry England uses the money raised by Forest Live to maintain the nation’s 1,500 woods and forests, plant trees and continue their important sustainability and conservation projects.
