Joe Hart lands high-profile punditry gig after upcoming Celtic exit

Joe Hart is enjoying a fairytale end to his football career after playing a key role in helping Celtic win their third successive Scottish Premiership title.

The former England international has been in sparkling form this season, keeping 17 clean sheets in 47 appearances across all competitions [Transfermarkt].

With two matches left before Hart hangs up his gloves, he will also be given another crack at silverware in the form of the Scottish Cup final against Rangers next weekend.

From observation, the 37-year-old has cut an emotional presence over the past few weeks, taking in every last moment on the pitch and leading the celebrations with the wider support.

Few people in the game deserve a better send-off than Hart, who, despite being one of the best goalkeepers in the world at one point, has immersed himself in Celtic’s culture and become an iconic figure.

Now, news about some of his post-retirement plans has emerged, and it is safe to say he is set for an exciting opportunity once his playing days come to an end.

Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart lands prestigious punditry role

Per The Daily Mirror, Hart is set to join the BBC’s punditry team for EURO 2024 in Germany alongside a host of high-profile names, something that could potentially spark further opportunities down the line.

According to the outlet, Premier League Productions are interested in having him on board for next season, which would be a fascinating proposition given his status as a two-time English top-flight champion.

Over the last few months, there have also been murmurs that he could be set for an ambassadorial position at Manchester City. If he were to go down that route, Hart would be responsible for representing his old club on trips overseas.

Celtic fans would love him to stay at Parkhead in some capacity, though he revealed last month that he hasn’t yet taken up any coaching badges.

Either way, Hart’s vast knowledge and football experience will make him an excellent panelist with the BBC as his new venture gets underway once he retires from the sport.
