A business on the outskirts of town is supporting a car club to raise money for a much-needed charity.
Fountain Food Machinery is thrilled to announce its sponsorship of the ‘Only Fools and Motors’ club meets, an initiative that combines community spirit and a passion for vehicles to support the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA).
These monthly gatherings, which draw automotive enthusiasts from across the region, have quickly become a cornerstone of local charity efforts.
The first meet of 2024 was held on May 4 at its new venue, The Five Bells in Tydd St Mary, and marked a record-breaking event with over 400 vehicles in attendance.
Enthusiasts displayed an impressive array of vehicles, from sleek motorbikes and vintage American cars to sturdy trucks and tractors, creating a vibrant tapestry of automotive history.
Through the generous donations of attendees, the event raised £1,200 for the EAAA, a vital service that provides life-saving medical transport across East Anglia.
The meets are organised by dedicated volunteers and offer a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere.
Admission is free, with a modest suggestion of a £1 donation.
Visitors can enjoy refreshments from an outside bar in the field or partake in the hospitality of The Five Bells, which remains open for drinks and meals.
Additionally, the events are dog-friendly, ensuring that even the furry members of the family can join in the fun.
