There were some mixed experiences: Find out how each Sunderland player out on loan fared this season

Find out how each Sunderland player has performed on loan for their clubs throughout the 2023/24 campaign.

Sunderland had a torrid 2023/24 campaign. Despite hopes that the club would build on their playoff finish in the previous season, any promotion chances collapsed in 2024.

This saw three Sunderland managers at the helm at the Stadium of Light. Tony Mowbray was the first before he was replaced by Michael Beale.

Following a poor few months, the former Rangers man was then given the boot with Mike Dodds taking the mantle until the end of the campaign.

For many of the Sunderland first team, it was a terrible year. However, some players away from the club managed to see out a successful season out on loan.

Below, this article lists every major Sunderland player who was out on loan and what they achieved throughout the 2023/24 campaign.
