Consequently, Ukrainian officials have asked their U.S. and NATO counterparts for help in training 150,000 soldiers closer to the front lines for quicker deployment.

The United States refused to send even military advisers to Ukraine urges its NATO allies to follow suit. At the same time, Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Charles Brown thinks the decision to deploy military trainers is ultimately “inevitable.”
“We’ll get there eventually, over time,” the report quotes Brown.
The article notes that moving training to Ukrainian territory, as military officials acknowledge, would allow U.S. instructors to gather real-time information about innovations happening battlefield, potentially improving their training programs.
