'Absolutely incredible': Seamus Coleman blown away by Everton duo who have been 'outstanding' this season

Seamus Coleman has been blown away by two “incredible” Everton players who have been “outstanding” this season.

Sean Dyche’s men are getting ready for their final league game of the 2023/24 campaign against title-chasing Arsenal.

The Gunners know that a win, coupled with Manchester City dropping points against West Ham United, will see them land their first league title in 20 years.

The trip to The Emirates will be Coleman’s last game for the club, which promises to be an emotional goodbye for the Irishman.

Coleman has played 11 times in the Premier League this season and featured for the whole 90 minutes against Sheffield United last week.

Talking ahead of the trip to North London, Coleman was extremely complimentary of James Tarkowski and Jarrad Braithwaite’s partnership throughout the campaign.

He told Everton’s website: “The two boys in the middle of the defence, they’ve been absolutely incredible, playing every minute of every game.”

“Two outstanding leaders in their own right. Jarrad, an up-and-coming leader. Tarky, whose been there, done it and shows up every single week. It’s not to be underestimated how good they are as a partnership.”

Coleman will be lauded by the travelling Evertonians regardless of Sunday’s result.

But how good would it be to see the 35-year-old exit Goodison Park having helped the Toffees to a famous victory at The Emirates?

Arsenal fans will anticipate a routine victory this weekend, but underestimating Everton’s current form, they could see Mikel Arteta’s side come unstuck.

The longer the game remains goalless, frustration will undoubtedly grow among the home support, something Dyche’s men could look to take advantage of.
