Joe Hart sends class Instagram message to fans ahead of his final game at Celtic Park

It’s a big weekend for Joe Hart. While not quite his final game as a professional footballer, it’ll be the last time he plays at Celtic Park.

The shot-stopper is hanging up his gloves at the end of the season. He has just this match against St Mirren and the Scottish Cup Final against Rangers at Hampden left on his schedule.

Hart has been a superb addition to the Celtic ranks since joining during Ange Postecoglou’s first summer at the club three years ago, making over 150 appearances in all competitions.

He’s been especially impressive in the second half of this season, helping push the Bhoys to a third successive league title with some key saves.

Now he’s set for an emotional Saturday afternoon inside Paradise, lifting more silverware and waving goodbye to the full 60,000-strong congregation.

Joe Hart loves Celtic

Writing on social media site Instagram on Thursday, Joe Hart said: “What a feeling, what a club. Congratulations everyone on a title we worked so hard for – players, staff, supporters and family. See you Saturday.”

Hart is already lining up plans for his post-Celtic career. Reports surfaced this week suggesting he is set to be part of the BBC’s punditry team for the upcoming Euro 2024 tournament.

He’ll excel in that role. Hart has been a fantastic representative for Celtic in the media, often providing sincere and heartfelt comments on a variety of issues. It’s one of the reasons he’s built up such a rapport with the support.

Celtic have provided Hart with the perfect end to his professional career. In turn, he’s provided us with the performances and personality that will ensure he is remembered as an icon of this era.

The ovation he receives on Saturday will be enormous. That is guaranteed. Get the hankies ready to wipe away those tears.
