Scottie Scheffler has been at the center of an unbelievable story in golf and in sports this morning over the course of the last few hours in Louisville. However, that appears to be coming to a conclusion as the morning continues on.

Per Mike Greenberg on ESPN, the Louisville Police Department has released Scheffler following his arrest going into Valhalla Golf Club this morning. With that report, his updated arrival at the course is at 9 a.m. with his tee time shifted back at 10:08 EST.

“Scottie Scheffler, I am being told, as we speak, has been released from custody and is expected to arrive at the golf course at 9 a.m. That is 20 minutes from now. It is a little over an hour earlier than his tee time would currently be scheduled for.”

“Again, to the degree golf is the factor here — and I suppose to at least some degree it is — he is very much in contention to win this year’s second major.”
