Kings Court Care Home, Middlebeck, celebrates first anniversary with party

Over 150 people came together to celebrate a care home’s first anniversary.

Ideal Carehomes’ Kings Court Care Home, on Flaxley Lane, Middlebeck, opened in April 2023 and has marked its successful first year by holding a party.

Residents, staff, relatives and the community were all welcome, and over 150 people joined in the fun.

Entertainment included live music from Eleanor Mattley Productions, balloon modelling by Mr Twists and a raffle.

Home manager Tarnya Fairburn said: “We’ve had an amazing year.

“We’ve loved becoming part of the community and we will continue to do so over the coming years.”

As well as celebrating the milestone, the event raised £385 for the residents’ fund — which will go towards things like outings and trips for the residents.

Tarnya added: “Anyone can come along, all of our events are open to the community.”

Upcoming events at Kings Court include the summer barbeque on July 20, from 1pm to 4pm, and the Christmas Market on December 1.
