William Saliba reacts with three words after news coming out of Arsenal yesterday

Arsenal star William Saliba and many other players have had their say after an announcement was made by one of their teammates.

The Gunners are gearing up for the final game of the Premier League season. They face Everton on Sunday and if things go their way, they could end the day as the champions.

Irrespective of what happens, a couple of players will be wearing the red and white for the last time on Sunday. Saliba has had his say on one of them.

William Saliba and Declan Rice react after Mohamed Elneny’s Arsenal announcement

Mohamed Elneny is Arsenal’s longest-serving senior player.

The Egypt international was signed by Arsene Wenger all the way back in January 2016. He cost the Gunners just £5 million (BBC).

Elneny has never been a regular for Arsenal. His role on the pitch has always been limited, but he has still remained a key part of the club.

Mikel Arteta has always heaped praise on the midfielder’s behaviour off the pitch, and all of his teammates love him as well.

Arsenal have had a very good season, but Elneny has received just 96 minutes of game time in all competitions.

He hasn’t even made the Premier League squad since February – his last appearance was when he came on for the final moments of the game in the 4-1 win over Newcastle United.

On Instagram and his other social channels on Friday, Elneny bid an emotional goodbye to Arsenal fans, confirming that he will be leaving the club this summer.

The news doesn’t really come as a surprise because his contract is due to end in July, but we’re sure people inside Arsenal will miss him.

Reacting to Elneny’s farewell message, William Saliba commented: “What a guy!”

Declan Rice wrote: “Legend!”

Arsenal legend Ian Wright said: “Thank you Moh.”

Another Arsenal player will leave with Mo Elneny

Mohamed Elneny’s eight-and-a-half-year spell at Arsenal will come to an end soon, but he will not be the only one leaving the club this summer.

The Gunners are expected to be very active in this summer’s transfer window. All eyes will be on incomings, but a few players could be shown the door as well.

It’s too early to talk about player sales, but one player who is certain to follow Elneny out of the door on a free transfer is Cedric Soares.

The Portugal international has been at Arsenal since 2020, and like Elneny, he has never really been the first-choice at the club.

Cedric’s contract at Arsenal will expire this summer, and he will leave the club then.
