How Arsenal have prepared for Premier League title glory as Arteta says 'it's possible'

Arsenal will enter the final day of the Premier League season with the title still a possibility, for the first time in over 20 years.

Mikel Arteta’s side have taken Manchester City to the last game in the title race, but will need Pep Guardiola’s side to drop points against West Ham for any chance of glory.

The Gunners have had an outstanding 2024, and can make it 16 wins from 18 Premier League games with a win over Everton, but this may still not be enough to stop Man City from winning their fourth title in a row.

Nevertheless, Arteta has called for his squad to focus on their game against Everton, which could end up being a tight game because of the pressure they will face.

However, if Arsenal secure all three points, and David Moyes can do his former player a favour by earning points at the Etihad, the title will come to the Emirates for the first time, and preparations are underway.

Arsenal are preparing for potential Premier League title win

Mail Sport have now reported that should Arsenal come from their two-point deficit to win the league, there are already contingencies in place.

“Ahead of the final day of the season, there will be identical Premier League trophies already waiting at each ground, alongside identical podiums & fireworks, according to a source close to the Premier League,” a report stated.

“Additionally, there will be a set of 40 medals at each ground. Any player who has made at least five appearances is eligible to receive one.”

The presence of a Premier League trophy with red ribbons, ready to be handed to Arsenal for the first time in 20 years, should now serve as motivation for the team to do all they can to beat Everton and reach 89 points.

Mikel Arteta believes Arsenal can win Premier League title

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Arteta focused on the positives that for the first time in the Emirates era, the Premier League trophy will be present at the Emirates on the final day of the season.

“We are in the last day of the season playing for the Premier League. The Premier League trophy hasn’t been at Emirates Stadium and that was built almost 20 years ago, so that’s a long, long time,” he stated.

“So yes, we have to be very optimistic. The trophy is going to be there and it’s possible. We have to do our duties, and then we have to wait and see what happens.”

All Arsenal can do is fight off any complacency to beat Everton, and hope that Moyes and West Ham can stop City from winning at home to secure what would be a historic title for them.
