Red Rose Care Community’s manager, Joanne Brown, said: “We were pleased to be able to support Dementia UK’s annual Time for a Cuppa event.

“Here at Red Rose Care Community, we specialise in dementia care and understand the challenges families face as they try to navigate life with the condition. It was nice as a home to be able to come together to do our bit to raise money for such a good cause.”

There was also live music at the event, and residents were encouraged to join in singing, with research showing that despite people with dementia and memory loss struggling to remember things in their life they will often remember words to familiar songs and enjoy singing.
