4-2-3-1: Manchester United predicted XI vs Brighton, Rashford starts as Ten Hag makes four changes

This weekend brings an end to the Premier League campaign, and Manchester United will be facing Brighton at the Amex.

Finally, the end of this tumultuous campaign has arrived for Manchester United and it’ll see Erik ten Hag face off against the side who welcomed him to the Premier League in August 2022.

It feels like this season has been dragging along forever, but after this Sunday it’ll just be the the FA Cup final that United have to look forward to.

But on Sunday, there are still positions and European qualifications to play for, although the odds are definitely against United thanks to the atrocious goal difference held.

So United will likely go strong, but how strong is the question? Here’s how we’ve predicted Ten Hag to line up against Brighton.

Manchester United team news

Quite annoyingly, the injury list has begun to ease for United just as the season is wrapping up and this weekend there are a few players expected to be returning, as the manager confirmed in his team news.

Lisandro Martinez could be in line for a return to the starting line-up after coming off the bench recently, as could Marcus Rashford.

Victor Lindelof, Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial could all be in the squad as they were spotted in training on Friday.

Harry Maguire won’t feature on Sunday but Ten Hag does hope he’ll be back for the final. Mason Mount wasn’t seen training and Luke Shaw has only a small chance to play again this season.

How Manchester United could line up against Brighton

One position which won’t be up for debate as usual is Andre Onana‘s goalkeeper spot which he’s made his own lately.

Moving into the defence, Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka start on the left and right respectively, although we’d have loved to see a Harry Amass debut.

At centre-back, Martinez returns to the starting eleven next to Willy Kambwala, with Varane hopefully due to feature ahead of the final next week.

Kobbie Mainoo continues in midfield alongside Sofyan Amrabat whose importance has multiplied over the past few weeks.

Bruno Fernandes starts in the number 10 position where he will be keen to end his first year as captain on a high.

Amad Diallo continues on the right after a phenomenal performance against Newcastle. On the left, Rashford is back in the starting line-up to give Alejandro Garnacho a much-needed rest ahead of the final next weekend.

Rasmus Hojlund then starts as the striker after scoring his 15th goal of the season against Newcastle midweek.
