'That's a picture': Chris Sutton shares 'outstanding' photograph of Joe Hart and the Celtic fans on Trophy Day

Trophy Day at Celtic Park always provides a day of incredible emotion, colour and celebration.

Yesterday’s scenes when Callum McGregor finally got his hands on the Scottish Premiership trophy really were superb.

For the team, Trophy Day capped off a season were many, as Brendan Rodgers rightly points out, in the media had a narrative written about his team this season.

All season long the Celtic supporters have had to listen to the nonsense coming from the media and Ibrox about this seasons title race and now, all the talking has been done on the pitch as Brendan Rodgers picked up his third Scottish Premiership title.

But yesterday was about another celebration. It was also about Celtic goalkeeper, Joe Hart.

Joe Hart stands in awe of the Celtic supporters

After his 152nd appearance in a Celtic shirt, Hart took the opportunity to thank the Celtic supporters in the final home game of the season.

Sure, he still has the Scottish Cup final next Saturday to look forward to but what better opportunity to say goodbye to the fans due to his impending retirement was there than in front of a full Celtic Park.

And Chris Sutton shared this image of the veteran goalkeeper standing in awe of the Celtic fans:

Joe Hart has reached iconic, possibly even legendary status, in the eyes of the Celtic supporters.

Yesterday marked his sixth major honour at the club since signing back in 2021 and after three years at Celtic, Hart retires as a hero in the eyes of the fans.

And not just for his performances on the park. Hart genuinely loves our club and you can see and hear that whenever he represents Celtic on the pitch or talks about them in the media.

His leadership and drive has been key to our successes over the last three seasons and the Celtic fans took their to show in no uncertain terms just how much they appreciate the big goalie.

With one more game left to go, the Celtic support will be hoping that Hart can produce one last dance at Hampden to lift the Scottish Cup and cap off what has been an outstanding three seasons at the club.
