More than 80 women survivors of cancer walk the ramp in Gujarat's Rajkot

Rajkot (Gujarat) [India], May 19 (ANI): As many as 80 women who were cancer survivors walked the ramp in Gujarat's Rajkot. The event was organised with the aim of creating awareness about cancer and the importance of early diagnosis.

The event organised on Saturday also aimed to show appreciation to women who have fought cancer and motivate those who are still fighting it.

The initiative by Cancer Club Rajkot is unique, as there were no models but only those 80 women who fell victim to breast and cervical cancer but defeated the disease despite all the odds.

The Cancer Club Rajkot launched this initiative two months ago. Similar events were organised in the cities of Bengaluru and Delhi but only 25 women took part in these shows. This time, the show organised in Rajkot witnessed a large number of participants.

The organisers of the show worked hard to make it successful, as they prepared the cancer patients for this ramp walk for almost a month.

Through this fashion show, the Cancer Club Rajkot aims to convey that if cancer is detected early, it can indeed be treated and the person can start a new life. (ANI)
