Satellite images of the aftermath of the strike on the port in Novorossiysk (Russia) on Friday, May 17, have appeared, according to the Radio Svoboda.

Satellite images taken on May 18 show traces of a fire at the sea trade port of Novorossiysk, where a fire broke out after a Ukrainian drone strike overnight on May 17.

"The photos reveal damage to at least one reservoir on the premises of the company JSC IPP, which deals with the transshipment of petroleum products, liquid fertilizers, and oil," the publication writes.

Strike on the port in Novorossiysk, Russia

On May 17, Ukraine's Security Service and Main Directorate of Intelligence attacked occupant targets in Sevastopol, Tuapse, and Novorossiysk with over a hundred drones. Specifically targeted were the sea port, oil refinery, oil terminal, and power substations.

It should be noted that guerrillas have found that Russians are strengthening their naval base in Novorossiysk (Krasnodar Krai, Russia) following Ukraine's strike. They are doing this in hopes of defending against Ukrainian naval drones.

Recall that in Novorossiysk, Russia deployed 14 ships after Ukraine struck the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol in September last year.
