'Keen on the move': Fabrizio Romano says there's one player who Man City thinks would be the 'perfect' signing

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that there is a player who Manchester City consider “perfect” for their team.

Pep Guardiola’s men would be hoping to bolster their team ahead of next season to ensure their team continue to reign supreme.

Not just in the Premier League as City’s goal would be to win the Champions League in 2025. As long as Guardiola is in charge, the Sky Blues would especially hope to win Europe’s elite competition as many times as possible.

Fabrizio Romano: Man City view one player as “perfect” signing

Speaking to Caught Offside, Fabrizio Romano has disclosed that Manchester City consider Lucas Paqueta as the ideal signing.

“The player would also be keen on the move and City keep considering him one of the perfect players for Pep Guardiola’s project.”

Last month, it was claimed that not only is Lucas Paqueta open to signing for Manchester City but there are unlikely to be any obstacles in agreeing personal terms with the player.

Anton Ferdinand went as far as to say that the Brazilian could singlehandedly improve any team in the top four — including City.

The former Lyon technician has been one of West Ham’s most important players this season, starting 30 league games so far.

Manchester City is the perfect club for Lucas Paqueta as well

In our view, Manchester City perhaps fairly view Lucas Paqueta as a potentially flawless signing if they go on to secure his services.

But City are also the perfect club for a player like Paqueta.

A player as technical as the 26-year-old would have the chance to play with other world-class technicians like Phil Foden, Kevin De Bruyne and Rodri to name a few.

Pep Guardiola could also help Lucas Paqueta hone his game as a controlling presence in midfield while creating a setup for him where he can arrive late into the box to score and assist goals.

Despite City having quality at their disposal across the board, Paqueta also seems like he would be a regular starter in the team.

Whether a deal goes through is the question but the player and the club’s potential union seems like a match made in heaven.
