Following an incident on Friday morning, Scottie Scheffler was arrested and faced multiple charges. Now, however, it’s being reported that those charges will be dropped.

According to Kevin Van Valkenburg, the Jefferson County prosecutors are planning on dropping the charges against the number one golfer in the world next week. As of now, Scottie Scheffler is set to be arraigned on Tuesday at 9 a.m.

Scottie Scheffler was arrested on Friday morning ahead of the second round of the PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Course in Louisville, Kentucky. He was, apparently, in a marked PGA car going around an accident where a pedestrian died when there was a miscommunication with traffic police, and an officer reportedly was injured trying to stop his moving vehicle.

Initially, Scheffler was initially charged with assault of a police officer, criminal mischief, reckless driving, and disregarding signals from an officer directing traffic.

This story will be updated.
