PM Modi has played vital role in raising India's stature globally: Uttarakhand CM Dhami

New Delhi [India], May 19 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has played a vital role in raising India's stature globally.

Dhami was addressing a public meeting in support of BJP candidate from Chandni Chowk, Praveen Khandelwal, on Sunday.

Dhami said, "In the country, there is only one wave which is in support of PM Modi and the BJP. We all should be proud of working in the BJP. Many projects that started during the regime of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee were stalled by the Congress, which was mired in corruption. PM Modi has played a vital role in raising India's stature globally."

He further said that during the Kargil War, the Indian Army won the war on the battle field as well as on the table.

Voting in Delhi for all seven Lok Sabha seats will be held in a single phase on May 25.

Khandelwal is pitted against Congress' JP Agarwal in Chandni Chowk.

Congress and AAP are in a 3:4 seat-sharing agreement in Delhi. Notably, the AAP and Congress "mutually agreed" to go solo in Punjab, but are a part of the INDIA bloc and are fighting in alliance in Delhi.

The BJP has won the Chandni Chowk constituency in the last two Lok Sabha elections in 2014 and 2019, with former Union Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan representing the area for the past 10 years.

Four phases of Lok Sabha polls have been held and the voting will conclude on June 1 with results on June 4. (ANI)
