CCTV image released in connection with Newbury assault

Thames Valley Police is seeking information following an assault in Newbury.

At around 8pm on Friday, April 26, a member of staff at a Northbrook Street shop was assaulted by a group.

Police wish to speak to the individuals pictured in connection with an assault which happened in Newbury in April

The staff member, a woman in her 30s, sustained injuries to her jaw and hand, as well as cracked ribs.

Investigating officer, PC Lucy Crewe, based at Newbury police station, said: “We are carrying out an investigation and trying to identify the members of the group who carried out the assault.

“As a result, we are releasing this image of individuals who we believe may have information about what happened.

“If you recognise someone pictured, or if it is you, please contact us.”

The staff member was treated in hospital but has since been discharged.
