'Priceless': BBC pundit blown away by £43m Manchester City man after seeing him live v West Ham today

Manchester City made it four Premier League titles in a row as they cruised past West Ham to ensure no title for Arsenal.

City had raced into a two goal lead courtesy of Phil Foden before a stunning goal from Mohammed Kudus ensured things at half-time were a touch jittery.

However, a goal from the man for big occasion, Rodri, ensured a smooth second period for City in the end as they headed towards history.

Of course, Rodri has been a constant presence for City all season, while Erling Haaland has once again smashed in the goals.

However, watching the game for the BBC, former Everton midfielder Leon Osman suggested it is Bernardo Silva who really makes Pep Guardiola’s side tick.

Bernardo Silva is ‘priceless’ for Manchester City

Commenting on the City game for the BBC, former PL star Osman was super impressed with what Bernardo brings to the table for City.

“City are blessed with incredible players but Bernardo Silva more than most has a real appreciation for the tempo of a game, this sense of what a game needs at any moment,” Osman said.

“When to pick up the pace, when to slow it down, when to draw players over to a certain area of the pitch. That sort of thing can be priceless for a manager.”

Silva has to stay at The Etihad

Not a summer seems to go by without a mention of Bernardo Silva being moved on but he simply has to remain at City.

Pep Guardiola is well known for moving players on when he feels the time is right to do so but in Bernardo Silva – who cost just £43m – he has a genuinely world class player on his hands who seems to control games consistently.

Once again today, while it was Foden and Rodri who got the goals, it was Bernardo who simply kept the ball ticking over for City and got them the win to claim another title.

If there is any talk of him leaving this summer, then City need to shut it down and keep him at the club without question.
