Russia's losses in Ukraine as of May 20: 1400 troops, 14 tanks, and minesweeper

As of May 19, Russia's losses in the war against Ukraine amounted to 1,400 soldiers. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also destroyed 14 tanks, 50 artillery systems, and a ship, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to May 20, 2024, are estimated to be:

  • personnel - 493690 (+1400) Russian troops;
  • tanks - 7590 (+14) units;
  • armored combat vehicles - 14665 (+35) units;
  • artillery systems - 12737 (+50) units.
  • MLRS - 1076 (+2) units;
  • air defense systems - 807 (+4) units;
  • UAVs of operational and tactical level - 10236 (+81);
  • cruise missiles - 2205 (+1);
  • ships - 27 (+1) units;
  • automotive vehicles and tankers - 17311 (+60) units
  • special equipment - 2079 (+2).

On May 19, the Ukrainian Navy destroyed the Russian minesweeper Kovrovets in Crimea.
