Jack Grealish sends six-word message to Mateo Kovacic after Man City win the Premier League title

Jack Grealish sent a six-word message to Mateo Kovacic after Manchester City won the Premier League title.

Alongside Jack Grealish, the £150,000-a-week man was on the bench for City in their 3-1 victory against West Ham United.

It was a surprise to see the Croatian international benched. After all, Pep Guardiola hailed his display against Tottenham on Tuesday as “unbelievable.”

Grealish sends special message to Kovacic after City win the Premier League

After Manchester City were crowned Premier League champions, Jack Grealish seemed over the moon for Mateo Kovacic.

Grealish commented on his Instagram: “Love you brate [translates to brother in Croatian]. What a boy.”

Kovacic has won plenty of titles in his career but he was yet to win the Premier League before the start of the camaign.

Chelsea last won the title in 2017, while the midfield maestro joined the club on loan during the 2018/2019 season.

Kovacic managed to win the Champions League but not the league title at Stamford Bridge.

In his debut season for City, Mateo Kovacic started 16 league games.

But interestingly, during the title run-in, the former Inter Milan technician started in five out of the last seven games — signalling his growing importance at the Etihad Stadium.

Grealish must relate to how the City midfielder must be feeling

Mateo Kovacic must be over the moon after winning his first Premier League title — a feeling Jack Grealish can perhaps relate to.

Before joining Manchester City, Kovacic had won plenty of trophies in his career, unlike Grealish.

But for a winner like the ex-Dinamo Zagreb midfielder, he must have been itching to add a Premier League winner’s medal to his trophy cabinet.

In a season full of ups and downs for Kovacic, just like Grealish, he has managed to do so.

Considering Jack Grealish and Mateo Kovacic play on the same left-hand side of the pitch, they must have formed a bond on and off the pitch.

Grealish’s message is an indicator that perhaps the pair have become quite pally with each other.
