'Definitely': Gary Lineker predicts what Jurgen Klopp is going to do after his Liverpool exit

Jurgen Klopp has now left Liverpool and it’s time for a new era for the club as Arne Slot comes in over the summer.

Klopp’s final game ended with the Reds seeing off Wolves at Anfield to give what was an emotional day the perfect result and leave everyone going home content.

For Klopp, his priority now is to get some rest and spend time with his family after a gruelling period at Liverpool clearly took its toll.

Of course, there’ll be no immediate move into management with another club. And if Klopp did, it would come as a huge shock, not least to Liverpool fans.

However, while management might not be next, Gary Lineker has suggested he’s heard a ‘little rumour’ around what the German might get his teeth into next.

Gary Lineker shares what he’s heard Jurgen Klopp could now do after leaving Liverpool

Lineker was speaking alongside Alan Shearer and Micah Richards on the Rest Is Football podcast.

And while discussing Klopp, the MOTD host suggested he’d been told Klopp could be returning to former club Dortmund in some capacity.

“I will be interested to see what Jurgen Klopp does next. I think he will definitely take some time out because I think he’s genuine when he says he has run out of energy.

“You can see why that job is so demanding. There will be a battle for him in a year’s time. Or they’ll be lining up for a year or so’s time.

“I heard a little rumour that he might end up being president of Borussia Dortmund, which would be amazing.”

Dortmund will welcome Klopp back with open arms

This would certainly be an interesting move for Klopp.

Dortmund, like Liverpool, hold a special place in his heart and while a move back into management at some point shouldn’t be ruled out, you can very much picture him doing something higher up.

Klopp has such a charm and personality about him that a presidential type role would suit him down to the ground.

And if that’s with a club like Dortmund, then all the better.
