Emmanuel Dennis is due back at Nottingham Forest this summer and it remains to be seen what the future holds for him.
The Nigerian player spent the second half of the season back at Watford – the club where Forest signed Dennis for around £10 million in 2022.
A failed spell with Istanbul Basaksehir saw him head back to England in January and he did score four times for the Hornets.
Dennis has a contract until 2026 with Forest and he will likely be required to report for pre-season training with the Reds.
After yesterday’s game, he posted on social media a one-word reaction to the team getting over the line in their survival quest.

The 26-year-old has been keeping tabs on the fortunes of his parent club it would seem.
He said on Sky Sports some weeks ago that he felt Forest would survive relegation and he’s been proved right.
After yesterday’s 2-1 win sparked joyous celebrations, Dennis took to Instagram to deliver a single-word reaction to the feat.
Dennis simply reposted a picture of the squad with the word ‘bravo’ attached and clearly, he’s happy for his teammates.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Dennis as if he’s sold, Forest might have to accept a loss on the player.
Forest have been short of depth when the likes of Callum Hudson-Odoi or Anthony Elanga have missed out.
As a result, Espirito Santo might have a look at Dennis during pre-season to see if he thinks he can add anything to the squad.
Dennis scored twice and claimed three assists during the 2022/23 campaign but failed to truly convince Steve Cooper.
With Forest expecting to balance the books this summer, there could be a window of opportunity for Dennis.
Under the right management there is a player in there somewhere and perhaps supporters will get the chance to see Dennis in action again at Forest.
