After NC State took down then-No.8 Wake Forest in a series sweep to close the regular season, the Wolfpack surged through the national rankings heading into the ACC Tournament.

The Pack (32-19, 17-12 ACC) is currently up two spots to No. 7 in Baseball America’s weekly rankings, while it moved past five programs to get to No. 12 in D1Baseball’s poll. NC State also moved up six spots to No. 14 in the most recent RPI rankings.

NC State is the fourth-highest ranked ACC team in D1Baseball’s poll, though its the third-seeded team for the conference tournament this week at Truist Field in Charlotte. The Wolfpack will lead Pool C in the league event, joined by sixth-seeded Duke and 10th-seeded Virginia Tech.

The red and white will play the Hokies on Wednesday night before squaring off with the Blue Devils on Thursday night. Both games are scheduled for 7 p.m. and they will both be broadcast live on the ACC Network.

Should the Pack make the weekend, it would play in the second semifinal at 5 p.m. against the winner of Pool B and the title game is scheduled for Sunday at noon. The semifinals will air on the ACC Network, while the championship contest is set for ESPN2.
