'Parental rights being eroded by the day': Lauren Chen says 'nothing can be done' about children being declared trans by schools

US commentator Lauren Chen has claimed that parental rights are "being eroded by the day", as gender ideology surrounding pupils in schools continues to cause controversy with parents.

This comes as Dewitt Public Schools cancelled their plans after proposing a "voluntary lesson" to promote "greater understanding, compassion, and kindness regarding gender identity and the use of pronouns".

Speaking to GBNA, Chen said we are reaching a point in both American and British society where gender ideology is becoming "polarised".

In a discussion with host Mark Dolan, Chen revealed that parents "don't have the rights" in some states to protect their children from the "indoctrination" of gender identity in schools.

When asked if the "idea of hundreds of genders in schools" is "here to stay", Chen explained: "We are reaching a point in society where we're actually becoming polarised.

"If you go to places like California and the great state of Tennessee, there's legislation protecting children fror this type of indoctrination."

Chen blasted the teachings of gender identity and sex education in schools, fuming: "By and large, parents don't want to hear anything about this.

"They just want their kid to learn math, English, history. And they're not interested in teachers becoming sex ed gurus of gender identity exploration or anything of the sort."

The commentator praised those US states implementing protective legislation and said it is a "positive movement" in the right direction.

However, Chen highlighted: "I think there's positive movement in some states in some areas.

"But if you go to places like New York and California, it seems like things are moving the opposite way. We are getting more and more of this gender nonsense in school. Activists are doubling down. They're getting footholds not only in school administrations but also in terms of legislation."

Chen hit out at those states which do not have protections for children in schools, adding: "The parents actually don't have a right in some states to know what is going on at schools when it comes to their kid's gender identity, sexuality or anything else that they might divulge to a teacher.

"So we really are becoming more and more polarised, and my heart goes out to the parents who are in areas where their parental rights are being eroded every single day."

Sharing her advice for parents in states and schools which do not have legislative protections for children, Chen suggested: "If that's you, my advice is absolutely to move.

"Get out before it's too late. In one of your schools, guidance counsellors decide that your kid is trans, and unfortunately, there's nothing you can do about it."
