A drug dealer from Great Paxton has been jailed after a police operation to tackle county lines in Cambridgeshire.
Police raided the Luddington Close home of Callum English on the morning of 6 February after suspecting him of running the ‘Jay’ and ‘Mitch’ drug lines.
Officers found a sim card and two mobile phones in his bedroom linking him to the lines.
The 23-year-old’s arrest was part of Operation Hypernova 2.0 which led to 51 county lines being dismantled and 33 people charged with 93 drug and human trafficking offences.
English was sentenced to three years in prison at Peterborough Crown Court on Wednesday (15 May) after pleading guilty to two counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and activating a previous suspended sentence.
Detective Constable Jeremy Turner, who investigated, said: “English is the latest drug dealer to be taken off the streets of Cambridgeshire as part of this operation to make the county hostile towards county lines drug dealers and prevent further exploitation of young and vulnerable people.
“We hope this sentence sends out a message that drug dealing won’t be tolerated in our county.”
