Pippa Middleton celebrates seventh wedding anniversary with husband James Matthews

Pippa Middleton celebrated her seventh wedding anniversary with her husband James Matthews on Monday.

Princess Kate’s sister married her financier husband on May 20, 2017, at St Mark’s Church in Englefield.

Pippa wore a £40,000 ivory lace dress designed by Giles Deacon for the special occasion in the idyllic English countryside.

The couple tied the knot in front of Prince William and Princess Kate and their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Following the ceremony there was a reception for 300 guests on their 18-acre estate where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made an appearance.

Matthews first met Pippa in 2007 at his parent’s luxury hotel in St. Barths where the Middleton family frequently visited.

The couple dated briefly in 2012 before Pippa went into a relationship with Nico Jackson for three years.

Once Middleton and Jackson split ways, Pippa was spotted with Matthews in December 2015 and have been together ever since.

In July 2016, Pippa showed off her diamond engagement ring for the first time while walking in London.

David Christopher Allen of 77 Diamonds previously described the ring to PEOPLE as “an Asscher-cut diamond, and in order to get a beautiful cut, the diamond needs to be of top clarity. If it is a flawless stone then it could be £200,000.”

Pippa and her husband went on to have three children, Arthur, Grace and Rose, who are cousins with Prince William and Princess Kate’s children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Matthews works in finance as chief executive of Eden Rock Capital Management Group, a hedge fund that he launched 10 years ago.

Pippa, James and Carole Middleton have been a “bedrock” of support for Princess Kate amid her cancer treatment.

Gareth Russell, a royal author, told GB News: “Family is such an important bedrock to anyone undergoing a serious illness and particularly ongoing, lengthy treatment for it.

"I don't think we'll ever know what the Middletons' role will be, beyond that of a loving family.

"We won't know the specifics because they are very private, and discreet, which is which I think is to their credit."
