Great Britain, France, Spain, Romania, Belgium, as well as Lithuania will supply equipment and missiles to Ukraine as part of the German initiative to enhance Ukrainian air defense, according to Twitter (X) of the German Ministry of Defense.
According to the outcomes of the online meeting of Ramstein, it has been revealed that many partner countries are willing to support the German initiative regarding air defense systems for Ukraine.
"Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, and Canada will provide financial assistance, while the USA, UK, France, Spain, Romania, Belgium, and Lithuania will provide equipment and missiles. Latvia also wants to join the initiative," the department reported.
German initiative
In April, the German government unveiled a new initiative to provide Ukraine with additional air defense systems. It aims to offer Ukraine even greater support in the realm of anti-aircraft defense.
Later, Belgium announced financial assistance of 200 million euros to bolster Ukrainian air defense within the framework of the German initiative.
Canada also announced the allocation of over 55 million dollars in new military aid to Ukraine for strengthening its air defense systems.
