Ricky Stenhouse Jr. is getting support from his sponsor NOS Energy Drink when it comes to his fight with Kyle Busch. Following the altercation at the NASCAR All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway on Sunday night, NOS Energy Drink went to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share its reaction to the battle between the two drivers.

“If f-ck around and find out was a person [Ricky Stenhouse Jr.],” NOS Energy Drink wrote in the post that also included the video of the fight.”

The reason Stenhouse and Busch fought was what happened at the beginning of the race. Both drivers ran into each other in the second lap, which caused Stenhouse to wreck his car and be eliminated from the competition. Due to how the track is set up, Stenhouse couldn’t leave, which led to him confronting Busch after the race.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. denies wrecking Kyle Busch at All-Star Race

“I’m not sure why he was so mad, I shoved it three-wide, but I mean, he hit the fence and kind of came off the wall and ran into me,” Stenhouse explained. “I don’t know when I was talking to him he kept saying that I wrecked him. So, definitely built up frustration with how he runs his mouth all the time about myself, but I know he’s frustrated because he doesn’t run as well as he used to. I understand that. We’re a single-car team over here, we’re working really hard to go out and get better each and every weekend.

“You know, we had a really good game plan coming in. Our car was really strong. Friday in practice I was looking forward to running to the front. I think we’d pass a couple of cars there. I was excited for the rest of the night and he ruined it. Being stuck in here definitely doesn’t help the frustration, if there was a tunnel I’d have probably been at home watching the end of that. So, here we are.”

After the fight, Busch told reporters why he ran into Stenhouse at the start of the race. “I’m tired of being run over by everybody,” Busch said. “But that’s what everybody does. Everybody runs over everybody to pass everybody.”

Both drivers will move on and get ready for the Coca-Cola 600 in Charlotte on Sunday. But Stenhouse would love to face Busch in a boxing match down the road.

“I don’t have anything else for him,” Stenhouse said. “If we want to do a charity match, I would do that, raise some money for maybe the NASCAR Foundation or something. That would be fun. Really other than that, I don’t have a whole lot for him.”
