Former San Diego wing Kevin Patton Jr. has committed to USC according to On3’s Joe Tipton.

The 6-foot-8 freshman averaged 9.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game this season for the Toreros. Patton Jr. was ranked as the No. 139 overall recruit in the 2023 class, according to On3’s Top-150 Player Rankings.

Patton was named to the All-WCC Freshman Team and was a four-time WCC Freshman of the Week winner this past season. He filled up the stat sheet for the Torerors as a true freshman. He appeared in 30 games with 16 starts, tied for the team lead with 42 steals, ranked second in the WCC in blocks and tied for first in the conference with 1.3 blocks per game. He spent his senior season at Rancho Christian School in Temecula, California, the same school that helped produce former USC standout Evan Mobley.

This is the 12th new addition for USC head coach Eric Musselman this offseason and would appear to give the Trojans their 13th and final scholarship player for the 2024-25 season. Patton is another in a long line of big wing additions for Musselman, who likes to build a roster heavy on that type of player.
