Powerball winning numbers, live results for Monday’s $88M drawing

The Powerball jackpot for Monday’s lottery drawing has jumped to an estimated $88 million with a cash option of $41.4 million.

The drawing will be held at 10:59 p.m. and televised on WABC-7 in New York City and Fox 29 in Philadelphia. NJ.com will publish the winning numbers immediately following the drawing.

No one across the country hit Saturday’s $78 million jackpot. A second-prize ticket matching five numbers but not the Powerball was sold in California and is worth $3,181,602 instead of the standard $1 million. California lottery prizes vary depending on ticket sales and number of winners. They differ from the fixed second prizes offered in other participating states.

In New Jersey, a $50,000 third-prize ticket was sold for Saturday’s lottery drawing at Caba Grocery on Brighton Avenue in Perth Amboy, the New Jersey Lottery said Monday. The ticket matched four numbers plus the Powerball.

Saturday’s winning numbers were: 19, 36, 37, 42, 59. The Powerball drawn was 19 with a Power Play 2x.

In addition, no one hit the secondary $10 million Double Play jackpot on Saturday. Those winning numbers were: 15, 17, 28, 36 and 60. The Double Play number drawn was 9.

The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1. A player who buys a $2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance to match five numbers and win at least $1 million, while the odds are 913,129 to 1 to win a third prize of at least $50,000.

Powerball drawings are held each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot is worth an estimated $421 million with a cash option of $195.9 million.
