The Real Housewives star breaks down in episode 4 over the loss of her ex-husband, Jan Josephs.
Emotions are running high during The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 14. Melissa, Joe Gorga, and Teresa’s beef is ongoing, and Dolores is in tears over it. Jackie and Jennifer Aydin are friends, Margaret and Jackie are enemies, and Marg is sobbing about the death of her ex as her husband consoles her.
Margaret Josephs cries over Jan
The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 14 sees Margaret Josephs spending some quality time with her husband, Joe Benigno.
She tells him she’s “in recovery mode” as she feels the rest of the ladies are “losing their marbles.”
The Bravo star shares how she’s disappointed in Jen Fessler, for her lack of support after her ex-husband, Jan Josephs, passed away.
Sitting across from Joe, Marg asked: “How many phone calls did I get after Jan died?”
Joe said: “Zero,” before Margaret added how Jen did go to the funeral and “was great, but then people forget.”
Jan’s death was sudden
Margaret breaks down in tears over lunch with her husband and tells him: “It’s hard because it’s been a year, but it doesn’t feel like a year.
Jan suffered a sudden heart attack and passed away on August 26, 2022, at the age of 74.
The RHONJ star added: “When I think about it, I get a little freaked out… I thought Jan would live forever.”
She explained how he was a health-conscious person who “ran five miles a day.”
“They said it was a pulmonary embolism, which is a blood clot. It just shot up to the heart and killed him.”
They were married for decades
Margaret cries to her current husband, Joe, about her ex’s death, before he tells her he “feels the deepest horror” for her.
Joe told her: “I never want you to feel horror, I never want you to feel sad.”
Margaret broke down in tears over the “real life stuff that can never be fixed” before saying she wanted to “stop crying” over Jan’s death.
She added how she “needs time” before joking: “Don’t worry, when you die, I’ll cry this much too.”
Margaret and Jan married in 1994 and were together for almost 20 years before their divorce.
The Bravo star had full custody of Jan’s three kids during their marriage and the two also shared one son together.
