'100%': Conor Coady says Man City have an 'incredible' player who he respects so much

Conor Coady has revealed that he has huge respect for a certain Manchester City player.

Coady has had the privilege of training and playing with some of the City players for England over the years.

During his spells for Wolves and Everton in the Premier League, the 31-year-old played against them season after season as well.

Conor Coady says he respects one Man City player a lot

The player Conor Coady is referring to is Kyle Walker.

Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live’s Monday Night Club, he said: “He is incredible. 100%, 100% [he is a leader]. He is incredible. First and foremost, I think he is a leader because of how he leads on the pitch, how he plays the game, how he plays football. I think as a person, I have such respect for him from being with him in the England squad.”

The £175,000-a-week man recently won his first Premier League title as City captain.

The former Tottenham Hotspur right-back joins other great Manchester City skippers in this respect such as Vincent Kompany, Fernandinho and Ilkay Gundogan.

Natural that Coady feels this way about the Man City right-back

Conor Coady initially mentioned that Kyle Walker leads by example.

As a defender, the Leicester City centre-back must especially admire how remarkable Walker has been for England over the years.

The way the decorated right-back has managed to replicate his performances for City at international level is an aspect of his game that Coady must rate highly.

When the 33-year-old retires from international duty, he could go down as one of the best players to have ever put on the Three Lions shirt.

Known to be one of the prominent voices in the England set-up himself, Conor Coady’s respect for Kyle Walker must have gone up a level after seeing how much of a leader he is.

Several players can operate at world-class levels but the ability to lead a top-quality team is reserved for a select few.

It was claimed in October that for City, Walker is viewed as the type of skipper who is a “calm and commanding” figure in the dressing room and uses his experience to help others.

With Kyle Walker seemingly being a fantastic leader and a tremendous player, Conor Coady naturally respects him.
