Summer lunch being put on for elderly residents of King’s Lynn at Novus Restaurant at College of West Anglia Campus

A popular tradition will bring the elderly together for a tasty meal once again this year.

The Shallow and Len Rush Lunch, for elderly residents of Lynn and Gaywood, will return this summer - as well as in winter to accommodate those who were unable to have a place at the last Christmas lunch due to high demands.

The lunches are funded by the Lynn General Charities group and offer senior citizens the opportunity to go along for a free meal and get-together.

The event is being held at the Novus restaurant in the College of West Anglia campus on Tennyson Avenue on Thursday, June 6 from noon until about 2pm.

The event is free, but tickets are needed due to limited places. Tickets can be purchased from the Purfleet Trust, located on Austin Fields in Lynn, from May 30.
