The Money Team Racing, the part-time NASCAR Cup Series outfit, has rebranded to Team AmeriVet and will enter this Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway with Ty Dillon piloting the No. 50 Chevrolet.

TMT Racing, which began running select Cup Series races in 2022, was struggling to find sponsorship, per Adam Stern of Sports Business Journal. The race team is owned by some of the previous co-owners of TMT Racing, as well as AmeriVet Securities, a veteran owned and operated financial broker.

“We are incredibly excited to be back in the NASCAR Cup Series and could not have asked for a better event than the Coca-Cola 600 to mark our team’s rebrand,” said Rebecca Auchmoody, co-owner of Team AmeriVet. “Ty Dillon’s experience and our team’s dedication set the stage for a promising start. We’re here to compete and make our mark.”

The No. 50 car made two Cup Series appearances last season with Conor Daly behind the wheel. Daly finished 29th in the Daytona 500 and 36th at COTA.

Ty Dillon gets another chance to race in NASCAR Cup Series

Dillon, who competed in the Cup Series last season driving the No. 77 Chevrolet for Spire Motorsports, will make his third start of the season. He drove the No. 16 Chevrolet for Kaulig Racing at Richmond and Texas earlier this season, finishing 29th and 16th, respectively.

He has spent the 2024 campaign driving the No. 25 Chevrolet Silverado full-time in the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series for Rackley W.A.R., where he sits 19th in the points standings. In 240 starts in NASCAR’s premier series, Dillon has two top-five and seven top-10 finishes.

“I’m looking forward to making another start in the Cup Series,” Dillon said. “The [Coca-Cola 600] is always a special weekend and I look forward to making the most of this opportunity and hopefully growing this program for the future.”
