The Russian Federation has begun the first stage of training involving the use of non-strategic nuclear weapons. The military will employ Iskander complexes and Kinzhal missiles, according to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

It is noted that during this stage, the personnel of missile units of the Southern Military District are practicing combat training tasks, including receiving special ammunition for the Iskander operational-tactical missile system, equipping missile carriers with them, and secretly deploying to designated positional areas in preparation for missile launches.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation also indicates that the personnel of the aviation units of the Russian Aerospace Forces involved in the training are practicing equipping aviation means of attack with special combat units, including aeroballistic hypersonic missiles Kinzhal, and conducting flights to designated patrol areas.

At the same time, the Russian military once again emphasized that the training is allegedly in response to "provocative statements and threats from certain Western officials towards the Russian Federation."

Nuclear exercises of the Russian Federation

At the beginning of May, President Vladimir Putin ordered tactical nuclear weapons exercises. At the same time, Andrii Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, stated that nuclear blackmail for the Russian Federation is a regular practice.

"They blackmail with what they have. Ultimately, this is a constant practice of the Kremlin. There is nothing particularly new here," he said.
