Princess Kate a 'driving force' behind report on major opportunity for UK economy

Princess Kate is the “driving force” behind a major opportunity that could deliver more than £40 billion to there UK economy each year, GB News’s Cameron Walker has reported.

He spoke to Peter Grigg, the chair of Home-start UK, a charity which supports young families.

According to Cameron, the Princess is “keeping a close eye” on the charity’s work while she recovers from cancer.

“This all stems really from her work”, he said on GB News.

“When she started being a working member of the Royal Family, where she was working closely with people suffering from addiction and mental health problems, what she found is all of these issues tend to stem from a poor start in life.

“In January 2023, she step up Shaping Us, this awareness campaign for the early years. Two months later, she convened the Business Taskforce. So eight members of big businesses across the UK, including Ikea, NatWest, Deloitte. There’s not many people who can convene the bosses of these big companies.

“She did and they have written this report setting out how businesses, big or small, whether it’s a coffee shop in Wolverhampton or Ikea can make small differences to their employees to help them support young children growing up and over a generation.

“They could add, they claim, more than £40 billion to the UK economy each year.”

Gregg told Walker that Kate has been a “real driving force” behind their work.
