Appeal for help as 65-year-old remains missing from Gravesend

Police are appealing for the public’s help in their search for a missing 65-year-old.

Alan Shearing was last seen last weekend in Gravesend in his Citroen Nemo van.

Alan Shearing is 65 years old and 6ft tall with greying hair and a beard, he has been missing from Gravesend since Saturday

He was reported missing on Saturday and is now believed to be travelling on foot.

A CCTV image captured at around 4pm the following Sunday shows a man authorities believe to be Alan, walking in Rochester Road, Gravesend in the direction of Higham.

Alan is 65 years old and around 6ft tall with greying hair and a beard. He is believed to be wearing a green flat cap with black lines on it, and may also be wearing a grey zip-up jumper, blue jeans and blue shoes with orange socks.

Chief Inspector Will Lay said: ‘We continue to urge anyone who thinks they may have seen Alan to contact us immediately and are asking residents, specifically in and around the Rochester Road area, to check any doorbell cameras and CCTV for footage which may show him. Drivers in this area are also asked to check dashcams.’
