Russian army carried out airstrikes on the cities of Konotop and Shostka in the Sumy region tonight, targeting energy facilities. As a result of the strikes, there are power outages in the settlements, according to the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

As clarified by the Sumy Regional Military Administration, the Russian army carried out an airstrike on energy facilities in Shostka and Konotop using a Shahed type drones.

Currently, all necessary services are working at the strike sites. The consequences of the enemy's attack are being clarified.

In addition, the administration reported that work is underway to restore electricity, which was interrupted due to the enemy strike.

Attack by the Shahed group on the night of May 22

On the evening of May 21, the Russian army launched kamikaze drones over Ukrainian territory, and an air raid alert was issued in several regions.

Around midnight on May 22, monitoring groups reported that enemy drones were heading towards Konotop and Shostka in the Sumy region. Explosions were reported there.

Additionally, an explosion was reported in the Poltava region during the air raid alert.
