June is a very busy month for Notre Dame football recruiting with multiple official visit weekends and a few camps in South Bend. The first Sunday in the month marks the staff’s Irish Invasion camp, the marquee workout recruiting event of the summer on campus.

Leesburg (Va.) Loudoun County’s Carter Scruggs, the nation’s No. 114 overall prospect and No. 9 interior offensive lineman according to the 2026 On3 Industry Ranking, tweeted Tuesday night that he’ll take part in the June 2 camp in South Bend.

Scruggs has the likes of Alabama, Georgia Virginia Tech, Maryland, Penn State and Oregon on his offer sheet already. Notre Dame isn’t on it yet, but Scruggs will work for position coach Joe Rudolph and Co. to potentially make that happen.

The four-star prospect also tweeted that he’ll camp for Ohio State June 13.

Scruggs’ upcoming trip to South Bend won’t be his first. He made it to Notre Dame March 23, and by all accounts, he had a great time.

“I had an amazing time at Notre Dame,” Scruggs previously told Blue & Gold. “I got to tour the campus, meet all the coaches and see what it’s like to be an offensive lineman at Notre Dame. My highlight of that day was touring the campus.

“I loved getting to talk to CoachRudolph for a while. I also got to talk with Coach [Marcus] Freeman and Coach [Rob] Delaney. I loved getting to see what the offensive line does in a practice. What I liked the most about the practice was how competitive it is.

“I learned that Notre Dame takes academics really seriously, and when my football career ends, having a degree and network from Notre Dame can really set me up for success.”

On3’s own rankings view Scruggs similar to the industry average, listing him as the No. 126 overall prospect and No. 8 interior lineman nationally, plus the No. 7 prospect from his home state of Virginia.
