Dersingham Honda Racer Phil Wright back in action at Cadwell Park

Dersingham Honda Racer Phil Wright was back in action for Rounds Five and Six of the Racing Hondas Championship at Modified Live which was held at Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire.

Wright qualified well and landed a front-row second-place position for Race One. As the lights went out, Phil made a good start but the number 23 car of Jenkinson got the jump on him.

He pursued and by lap four had reclaimed second place and was only a second behind the leader. While negotiating a tight section of the circuit on lap five a suspension issue forced him to retire the car back to the paddock for a disappointing DNF result.

Wright got the issue sorted and was back on third spot on the grid for round six later that afternoon. He got another good start but as he entered the twisty wooded section on the first lap the suspension issue returned and forced him into the barriers for another disappointing DNF.

He competes next at Tunerfest South at the Kent circuit of Brands Hatch on June 16.
