Wrexham owners Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds have reacted to the club’s latest announcement.

A constant stream of progression currently encapsulates Wrexham football club.

On the pitch, the Reds have achieved back-to-back promotions for the first time in their history and will now play at a level they’ve not been at since 2005.

Meanwhile, the club continues to progress off the field, with a replacement Kop stand in the pipeline and ambitions to lure more fantastic players to the club.

It’s expected to be a busy summer at the Racecourse Ground as Wrexham gear up for a campaign in League One. With the transfer window fast approaching, supporters look forward to the season ahead.

Whilst the Reds’ priority is to prepare for the third tier, Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds are growing the global round even further.

Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds unveil United Airlines pyjamas

Wrexham made the shock announcement last year that United Airlines would be their front-of-shirt sponsor across the men’s and women’s team for the 2023/24 campaign.

One of the most popular airlines in the United States, for the Reds to replace TikTok with an even bigger brand was seen as further progress from the club.

The airline will also sponsor the club’s North American summer tour including flying the teams to games and providing MileagePlus members exclusive offerings.

Now, United Airlines are celebrating the team’s promotion to League One with a set of Wrexham-inspired amenity kits and pyjamas for travellers in its premium cabins.

Unveiling the advertisement on the Wrexham social media channels, McElhenney and Reynolds responded to this update via X.

Reynolds wrote: “Don’t sleep on this @united x @wrexham_afc collab. Or do?”

McElhenney added: “You’re looking at the dream team. Literally. @Wrexham_AFC x @united”

Wrexham continue to make moves

Throughout their careers as Hollywood actors and business owners, McElhenney and Reynolds have always strived to push the boundaries.

And landing a lucrative sponsor in League Two such as United Airlines was massive for the club as it’s given them a far bigger outreach and increased their popularity.

This, coupled with Welcome to Wrexham season 3 has allowed the Welsh side to become even more well-known in the United States.

Shaun Harvey previously said that 5,000 households in the US tuned in to watch the Reds in League Two last term. With collaborations – like the one above – that number is bound to skyrocket as they enter the third tier.
