Wild investigation of TV ranch continues unearthing 'spaceships and $3bn in treasure'

EXCLUSIVE: For four years, Discovery Channel fans have been let in on some of the mysteries At Blind Frog Ranch but Head of Security Charlie Snider tells Reality Tidbit some spooky happenings on the Utah land have been going on since the Aztec times.

This May, Reality Tidbit caught up with Mystery At Blind Frog Ranch star Charlie Snider, 71. He stars alongside his good pals Duane and Chad Ollinger – the landowners of the ranch. Together, Charlie and the team observe the many oddities found at Blind Frog Ranch including mysterious “orbs,” and “portals that open up in the sky.”

Charlie Snider confirms Mystery At Blind Frog Ranch season 4

Mystery At Blind Frog Ranch fans can get excited because season 4 has officially been confirmed.

As many lovers of the show take to Reddit threads to ponder over a renewal of the Discovery Channel show, Charlie tells us the new season is currently being filmed.

He said: “We’re three weeks into filming season 4.”

Speaking of when fans can expect to get stuck into the all-new show, Charlie said: “I think around the latter part of November, maybe into December.”

As if confirmation of season 4 wasn’t enough, this year there will be 16 episodes rather than the previous season’s eight.

Charlie says: “There’ll be a lot of excitement this year. We’ll try to give everybody a great show and show that it’s actually an archeological site.”

Is Mystery At Blind Frog Ranch real?

Speaking to Charlie from Vernal, Utah, this May, he gave some background on his relationship with his co-stars and his Mystery At Blind Frog Ranch stardom.

He tells Reality Tidbit: “Duane and I have known each other about 23 years now. And then Chad came on to the ranch years ago also.”

Charlie is into his sixteenth year at the ranch as head of security, however, he jokes he’s also “Chief cook and bottle washer,” as he “does a bit of everything.”

The reality TV star had a career in law enforcement when he said Discovery Channel asked them to do the show.

He had to take his retirement early after over 20 years in his field: “I’ve just never gone back to work because this is a full-time job.”

When it comes to the reality of the show, it’s something that fans have often questioned. So, we had to ask Charlie how ‘real’ or ‘fake’ filming really is.

He tells us: “It’s all real. It’s a working project. There are museums that are talking about getting involved. It’s been a working project now for 15 years.”

He continues: “Everything is live, some of it has to be reenacted if the cameras weren’t there or rolling, if something happens then we might have to go back and reenact that.”

“We’re not actors,” Charlie adds. He and his cast mates hadn’t been in front of the camera before. But, he explains they’re used to it now.

Speaking of filming, Charlie tells us it’s “hard work,” as “you’re filming in all kinds of different environments…”

He says of the ranch’s terrain: “There’s hardly any flat ground on our land, it’s mostly all mountainous. It’s like walking up the beach but uphill all the time.”

Charlie tracked into the early hours of the morning

Mystery At Bind Frog Ranch fans are intrigued by all the rare findings and goings-on on the land but tis is something Charlie is used to seeing all the time these days.

He tells Reality Tidbit how he’s “always been an explorer who loved metal detecting and panning for gold.”

Charlie also enjoys “human and animal tracking,” adding: “It’s just been something that’s been going on my entire life.”

We asked him, with an estimated $3bn in hidden treasure on the land in season 3, what’s on the ranch that’s so valuable?

Charlie said: “Originally we were following the trail of the Aztecs from New Mexico to their stopping point which was Blind Frog Ranch. Back then, 600 years ago, it was just land.”

“What’s underground there, and what’s above it, is estimated at $3bn but we can’t say for certain what is there. The artifacts are probably more valuable than anything.”

Speaking of the many “strange things” spotted on the land, Charlie tells us: “If you look at my Instagram account, you’ll see a spaceship with the beams coming out the bottom of it… that’s an occurrence that happens every once in a while. Usually, they are shrouded in the clouds so you never really see them. But, I had been trying to communicate with them that day and one did come in.”

The “weirdest” finding for Charlie, however, takes him back to season 1.

He said: “That guy that was acting all weird bending over backward, howling and carrying on, I tracked him for probably over two hours that night until around three or four o’clock in the morning and never found a sign of him. He totally disappeared, but there were no means of transportation, I don’t know where he came from or what he was.”

Why is it called Blind Frog Ranch?

Mystery At Blind Frog Ranch has been airing since 2020, but some fans still aren’t sure how the place got its name.

Thankfully, Charlie’s here to explain the backstory: “People come from all over the world to get into the water here, it’s very soothing. So, when we were creating that pond, we drilled down into a flooded cavern and the elevation of that is 7106 feet to the top of the water.

We had a huge pipe in there that was about 42 inches wide – that’s how Chad gets down and scuba dives into the underworld. There’s a complete ecosystem under us that houses so many different types of aquatics and serpents. When we first initially drilled that, albino frogs, solid white frogs by the hundreds, started coming up and they were blind because they’ve never seen light before.”
