‘Very proud’: Txiki Begiristain says ‘inspirational’ Man City man has done something unbelievable

Txiki Begiristain has said that one figure at Manchester City has done something totally unbelievable recently.

After winning the Treble last season, the Citizens have since gone on to win another Premier League title, their sixth in the past seven years.

The club could also win a consecutive FA Cup this weekend if they beat Manchester United at Wembley Stadium as they did last season.

Recently, one key figure at the Manchester club picked up a prestigious individual award for their efforts throughout the recent Premier League campaign.

This then led to another important person behind the scenes at City sharing his praise on the situation.

Speaking (via Man City) after Pep Guardiola was named as the Premier League’s Manager of the Season, Begiristain had this to say on the matter.

He said: “Everyone at City is delighted for Pep and this latest recognition of his achievements.

“As Pep is always quick to point out, our history-making success is a team effort and would not be possible without the tireless work of our players, coaches and backroom staff.

“However, Pep’s inspirational leadership and drive to succeed have made us a beautiful team to watch and seen us once again come out on top in the toughest league in the world.

“He has taken the club to the summit of the game and everyone connected with Manchester City should be very proud that he represents us.”

Guardiola has guided City to more Premier League glory

In his eighth season in charge of the Blues, Guardiola saw his side make history by becoming the first team to win four Premier League titles in a row.

Across their 38 league games, City won 28, drew seven and lost three along the way, scoring 96 goals and conceding 34.

Having been so successful during his time at the Etihad Stadium, it’s easy to see why Begiristain has been so complimentary about the City manager and why he’s been recognised for his efforts in the Premier League this season.
