Chelsea keen on Marco Silva

Chelsea are said to be keen on Fulham’s Marco Silva.

Silva has done an incredible job with the Whites in recent years. His Fulham side blew the Championship away back in 2021/22 before re-establing themselves as a Premier League force in recent seasons, claiming some big scalps along the way.

Silva gets his teams playing some fantastic football, and there’s long been a feeling that he would do a good job at a top club.

Interestingly, one of Silva’s most important players at Fulham is a Chelsea fan favourite.

What Willian has said about Marco Silva

Chelsea legend, Willian is one of Silva’s most important players at Fulham, and the Brazilian gave Silva his seal of approval this season.

“I am completely happy to continue the work I did last season with all my team-mates and the club,” Willian said.

“It is a club that can do even better this season. It was always my preference to come back to Fulham and renew my contract.

“Marco is a guy who I have all the respect for. He is an amazing person and a top manager – one of the best in the league. It is a pleasure to work with him.

“I had to prove to myself – and I did it – that I could come back to the Premier League and play at a high level again.”

Willian has worked with some of the best managers in the game from Antonio Conte to Jose Mourinho, and the fact that he’s spoken about Silva in this way shows just how brilliant a coach he is.

Silva wouldn’t be moving far if he swapped Craven Cottage for Stamford Bridge, but whether or not the Blues go for the Fulham boss remains to be seen.
