Inter Miami wonderkid spotted in training last night, he hasn’t played since March - journalist

An Inter Miami wonderkid who hasn’t played since March was last night spotted in the Herons’ opening training session.

The Florida franchise have been plagued with injuries this season with this week alone bringing the news that Nicolas Freire will be out for the rest of the year due to an ACL tear.

With Facundo Farias also out for the remainder of the season, Inter Miami’s injury struggles have been a real problem, with the likes of Lionel Messi and Jordi Alba also spending time out on the treatment table.

Yet one Inter Miami prospect is now set for a long-awaited return after two months out.

Federico Redonod spotted in full Inter Miami training

As per journalist Jose Armando, Ferdrico Redondo was last night seen in full Inter Miami training as the 21-year-old midfielder closes in on his return to action having last played in March.

Signed in the winter window, Redondo arrived in Florida with a massive reputation from South America, with the Argentine wonderkid considered one of the most exciting midfield prospects in world soccer.

However, Redondo has been limited to just four games in all competitions for his new side, with the youngster suffering a lateral knee ligament injury that has kept the midfielder sidelined since March.

Indeed, Inter Miami’s squad depth has meant Redondo’s absence hasn’t been felt too badly, yet the 21-year-old’s return will be a huge boost for the Herons heading into the Copa America section of the year.

Redondo will want to make up for lost time this summer

Redondo’s start to life at Inter Miami could not have gone any worse having picked up a major injury just weeks after arriving in Florida, yet the midfielder will want to make up for lost time.

With some big players leaving Inter Miami for the Copa America, Redondo will have the perfect opportunity to show fans why the Herons went above and beyond to sign the youngster this winter.

And alongside Sergio Busquets and Julian Gressel, Inter Miami could have one of the most balanced midfields in MLS, with Redondo a talent who can take the Florida franchise to a new level.
