Dersingham kart racer Kendal second in championship after Kent round

Dersingham's Jordan Kendal from JLK Vehicle Solutions headed south to the Lydd Kart track in Kent, near Folkestone, for the latest round of the Access Karting 115UK Championship.

"Having been to and mechanised at this track numerous times over the last 20 years it was one I was really looking forward to actually driving and it didn't disappoint,” said Kendal.

“The track is super fast and flowing plus rough over the big kerbs. It’s become a favourite of mine already.”

Practice day was full of trouble with various parts br but the team got it together for Sunday. The 49 kart ran faultless all day. On the random drawn heat grids Kendal produced two thirds and a second place finish to line up on grid two for the final only for them to be cancelled due to a junior racer flipping his kart and needing to go to hospital in the ambulance. (We know here he is doing fine and ready to race again next meeting). This resulted on the final few races declaring the finishing positions on the final grid.

Jordan now lies second in the championship but will miss the next round due to family commitments.

With thanks to Dad for all the help as usual and the rest of his family for the support.
