Report: Several key figures at Chelsea are huge admirers of 'fantastic' manager; they love how his team play

Several members of the Chelsea hierarchy are huge admirers of one manager and the style of play he has got his current side to adopt, as they look to replace Mauricio Pochettino.

Chelsea surprised many by announcing on Tuesday that Mauricio Pochettino would be leaving Stamford Bridge after just one year with the club.

Pochettino had seemingly got Chelsea to turn a corner in the second-half of the season, with the Blues winning their final five games of the campaign.

The decision has certainly put the pressure on the Blues hierarchy to find the right person after the fans had waited so long for some light at the end of the tunnel under Pochettino.

Chelsea hierarchy huge admirers of Sebastian Hoeness

Unsurprisingly, a host of names are in the frame. Chelsea have spoken with the representatives of Kieran McKenna, while Chelsea are also big fans of Eddie Howe.

But another name in the mix is Sebastian Hoeness, with the Stuttgart boss doing an amazing job in the Bundesliga with his side finishing second behind Bayer Leverkusen this past season. When he took over just over a year ago, Stuttgart appeared to be heading for relegation to the second tier.

And according to a report from Football London, several members of the Chelsea hierarchy are massive admirers of Hoeness and the style his side play with.

Stuttgart boss may have already made decision on his future

Chelsea appear to have their work cut out if they hope to appoint the ‘fantastic‘ 42-year-old this summer, with Hoeness seemingly deciding that he would prefer to stay where he is.

According to Florian Plettenberg, Chelsea have already made an enquiry for Hoeness, but he is not looking to leave right now.

It is going to be fascinating to see what direction Chelsea move in now that they have parted ways with Pochettino, particularly as he seemed to be silencing a lot of his doubters.

The worry will be that this decision sees any progress made over the last few months thrown away, and the next manager will also need plenty of time to find their rhythm.

If they cannot land their top targets, many fans will be even more convinced that they should have done a better job of holding onto Pochettino.
